Iskander Porodjuk

At the age of 6 years Iskander wanted to be a fashion designer – but first he became a dancer. In all, he spent 17 years of dance sport and dances up to the highest amateur class of Latin American Dance Sports. During this time he began to design the dresses for his dancing partners. Thus the label Iskander Couture was born.

Additional requests from other dancers and club members quickly followed. And so his wish for further professional development has grown.

Iskander studied fashion design in Berlin and graduated in 2005 with the mark “very good”. He passed his internship abroad in Beyrouth (Beirut) at a famous Lebanese haute couture label. Back in Germany, he and his fellow student and friend Marlene established the fashion label LUXXUS Berlin which quickly became popular at the German high society. This is mainly because of its elaborate red carpet dresses. Celebrities like Jenny Elvers, Mareille Hoeppner, Nazan Eckes, Collien Ulmen-Fernandes, Mirja Du Mont, Hadnet Tesfai, Annemarie Carpendale, Luise Bähr, Isabel Edvarsson and much else wore glamorous gowns on red carpets. But dance sport is still in his mind and Iskander is fascinated on the new again and again. His mission is to bring more glamour, style and particular design on the dance floors of the world.
